OA Summit Adventure

OA Summit Adventure

The OA Summit Experience (OASE) is the newest addition to the OA High Adventure programs. The concept of OASE stemmed from the 2013 National Scout Jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve as a way to serve the Summit and surrounding community.

OA Canadian Odyssey

Since its creation in 1999, the OA Wilderness Voyage (OAWV) program at Northern Tier High Adventure Base has provided life-changing opportunities for over 900 Arrowmen, who spend one week repairing portage trails in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCAW) in northern Minnesota (which covers 2 million acres of land and water), and a second week canoeing through the Boundary Waters.

High Adventure Triple Crown Award

The Order of the Arrow High Adventure Triple Crown Award was created in 2005 to recognize those Arrowmen who attended and completed the three high adventure programs offered at each of the national high adventure bases: The Order of the Arrow Trail Crew at Philmont Scout Ranch, the Order of the Arrow Wilderness Voyage at Northern Tier and the Order of the Arrow Ocean Adventure at the Florida Sea Base.

OA Ocean Adventure

The Order of the Arrow Ocean Adventure (OAOA) was created in 2005 and is the third high adventure program created under the Order of the Arrow. The program itself is based out of Florida National High Adventure Sea Base and participants spend the first week of their adventure becoming PADI certified SCUBA divers at the base itself and in the waters of the Florida Keys.

Waite Phillips (Jan. 19, 1883- Jan. 27, 1964) was much more than the prototypical oilman, wildcatter and businessman. He was also a philanthropist. The generosity of he and his family resulted in a major change for Scouting – the creation of its High Adventure Program.
