2014 National Planning Meeting

Section chiefs, section advisers, national OA committee members, key volunteers, and members of the BSA’s national OA professional staff gathered in Westlake, Texas for the 2014 National Planning Meeting.  The meeting’s activities were centered on the Order’s upcoming 100th Anniversary, and its year-long centennial celebration.

2013 National Planning Meeting

Section chiefs, section advisers, national OA Committee members and key volunteers met in Westlake, Texas for the 2013 National Planning Meeting to continue preparations for the Order’s 2015 centennial.  For the first time since 1991 there was not a program of emphasis for the summer.  Instead, the OA planned two major centennial events for a year of celebration: ArrowTour, a national lodge visitation roadshow, and the 2015 National Order of the Arrow Conference.

2012 National Planning Meeting

Section chiefs, National OA Committee members and key volunteers gathered in Grapevine, Texas for the Annual National Planning Meeting.  The primary task of the meeting was planning for Project 2013: the Order’s involvement in the inaugural jamboree at The Summit Bechtel Family National Scout Reserve.

2011 National Planning Meeting

The section chiefs from across the nation convened for the annual National Planning Meeting in Dallas, Texas (Westlake).  John Rehm of Woapeu Sisilia Lodge, Williamsport, Pennsylvania was elected national chief and Preston Marquis from Blue Heron Lodge, Norfolk, Virginia was elected national vice chief.  The region chiefs elected were Marty Opthoff - Central Region, David Joyner  - Southern Region, Eric Bush – Northeast Region, and Joe Barton – Western Region.

2010 National Planning Meeting

 The annual end of year National Planning Meeting of section chiefs was held in Westlake, Texas (Dallas Area).  Jonathan Hillis from Tonkawa Lodge, Austin Texas was elected national chief and Dan Dick from Wulapeju Lodge, Rockford, Illinois was elected vice chief.  Region Chiefs elected were Dwayne Fontenette – Southern Region, Travis Cunningham – Northeast Region, Collin Huerter – Central Region and Joseph Garcia – Western Region.

2009 National Planning Meeting

The 2009 National Planning Meeting was consumed with planning the Order of the Arrow’s greatest presence ever at a jamboree for the much anticipated BSA 100th Anniversary Jamboree. The OA would participate at an unprecedented level featuring the Mysterium Compass, American Indian Village and the OA Service Corps. Brad Lichota of Chippewa Lodge, Shelby Township, Michigan was elected National Chief and Will Swingle, Nawakwa Lodge, Ashland, Virginia was elected National Vice Chief.

2006 National Planning Meeting

The top priority of the 2006 National Planning Meeting was preparing for the National OA Conservation and Leadership Summit at Indiana University. Evan Chafee of Wiatava Lodge, San Juan Capistrano was elected National Chief and Larry Newton from Alibamu Lodge, Montgomery, Alabama National Vice Chief. Region Chiefs elected were: Don Hough – Central Region, Chad Wolver – Western Region, Kenneth Hager – Northeast Region and Alex Gomez – Southern Region.

2007 National Planning Meeting

The 2007 National Planning Meeting was among the most anticipated in years. Besides the national officer elections, this group was tasked with planning Arrowcorp5 and selecting the youth Incident Commander for each project. Jake Wellman from Yah-Tah-Hey-Si-Kess Lodge, Albuquerque, New Mexico was elected National Chief. Ben Stilwell of Gabe-Shi-Win-Gi-Ji-Kens Lodge, Okemos, Michigan was elected National Vice Chief.

2008 National Planning Meeting

The 2008 annual end of the year National Planning Meeting was held in Dallas, Texas with the program of emphasis for the year being the "Power of One" and the 2009 NOAC.

2003 National Planning Meeting

The 2003 National Planning Meeting was held at the end of the year in Dallas, Texas. With a NOAC set for the summer, planning the conference was the top priority of the meeting. In the much-anticipated national officer elections Jeff Hayward from Tetonwana Lodge, Pierre, South Dakota was elected National Chief. David Dowty was elected National Vice Chief. David became the first national officer elected from an overseas lodge.
